Ovaries are reproductive organs that store egg cells and make female hormones. Abnormal cells of the ovaries or fallopian tubes can form and become cancerous tumors of the ovary, tube, or both. The majority of ovarian cancers originate in the epithelial lining of the ovary or tube or abdomen.
