What to Expect with Infusion Therapy
If you are interested in receiving infusion therapy at Texas Oncology, here are a few things to know before treatment:
- Texas Oncology orders all medications needed for infusion therapies. Patients cannot bring their own drugs.
- While Texas Oncology provides and supervises infusions, management of the patient's primary illness will be directed back to their treating physician.
- Patients must pay their co-pay prior to receiving their infusion.
- Patients must have insurance.
- Laboratory services are available to patients on the same day as infusion.
- Early morning and late afternoon appointments are available.
- Texas Oncology requests 72 hours' notice for new patients prior to receiving their infusion.
Side Effects of Specialty Infusion Therapy
